Somethin' Funny

This is a story my good friend from work wrote when he was...really bored. Check it out!:

"Well, it is shortly after midnight August 24, 2003. I have decided that I should use my time wisely. I should do something productive. Something that I can share with all of you. After spending a great deal of time deliberating on how I could best use my time in a manner to benefit you all--coming to a grand total of almost 2 minutes--I have decided to write a poem. About what? I do not know yet. I do not even know how long it will take me to finish. It could be one night or ten. I will send this to you only after it is done. In fact, I don't even know who I am sending this to right now as I write. So, please enjoy whatever my sleep-deprived mind may come up with.

Sitting in my chair
Nothing left to do
Just wonder if my next call
Is extension 732

You see the calls die out
In the early morn
And chances are the next call
Will be a call for porn

Add the Pay-Per-View
The phone transaction fee
The only thing I ask
Is they not hit on me

But I am a professional
I do what I am told
Whether they are single
Or a couple that is old

Is it any good?
I don't want to know
I don't even flinch
When I say, "Enjoy your show."

But after I am finished
I want the dial tone
I wish they wouldn't start
While I'm still on the phone

But I realize
As I listen to their wheezin'
DirecTV must call it
"Extension" for a reason

I guess I never thought
Some girl who is attractive
Could turn a normal TV
Into something interactive

After handling extension
732 or 33
I head of to my home
I think I'll watch TV. . .

NOTE:
Well, it seems it was done for almost a week. I can't think of any way to make this better. As I share this with you, I ask that you not share it with others. This may be offensive to people, even ones you might think would find this humorous. I take responsibility only for the people I directly send this to. If you forward, copy, print or otherwise pass this along to somebody else, do so at your own risk. I hate to have such an extensive disclaimer, but *** is a highly professional workplace. I share this only because I had nothing better to do waiting for calls after midnight. Thank you for your time."
