Tips to follow before/when calling a call center...

* If you're upset about something, wait till you are mostly calm before you get upset with the phone representative.

* It is not our fault that your product/service malfuntioned, don't take your anger out on us. Sure, we go to you house at random times and poke at your product, to cause it to work improperly. Right.

* Don't tell us your ENTIRE life story when we ask what product/service you need repair on. It becomes redundant and causes the represetnative to become annoyed really fast.

* Go into a quiet area when calling. It is very hard for us represetntatives to hear you while there is very loud background noise going on around you.

* Don't call on a cell phone, especially when driving. The connection in most cases, is staticky/breaks up, so you miss parts of the call/conversation and the call time doubles because the representative has to repeat everything; In most cases you'll need to write information down (unless you have a good memory), but it is hard to write info down, talk on your cell phone while driving, is it not?

* Don't expect everything to go the way you want it to. We are not God. The world isn't perfect, embrace the imperfections.

* If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Don't go by the sales persons' word when buying an expensvie item, especially a warrenty other than the MFG. Ask to see the plan or the contract. Read the entire thing including the fine print. Most sales people will say anything to sell you the contract and or product.

(I've had all of these situations happen to me at work, that and more... it isn't fun, let me tell ya.)
